Prefabricated three-story house ⌂ Grandson/CH
On sloping terrain in Grandson in Switzerland, this prefabricated three-storey house is another Domprojekt project beyond Croatia. A pitched roof with pronounced wide eaves and a white rendered facade with dark louvres give it a harmonious look, while covered loggias and balconies with glass and metal railings across the floors open the space to the surroundings, and an entrance to the garage level sits at the base. The house stands along a stone retaining wall, and the surroundings are gently rolling. It is built with dry prefabricated technology from ready-made elements, so the structure is assembled quickly even on sloping terrain, throughout the year. The robust timber structure is engineered to European standards for the specific micro-location and resistant to earthquakes, fire, snow and wind, while the fully insulated envelope guarantees low running costs in the Alpine climate. Swiss projects like this one confirm the top quality of prefab houses from Croatia.
