Prefabricated house with flat roof and garage ⌂ Premantura

A modern cubic line sets apart the prefabricated two-storey house in Premantura, at the very south of Istria. A flat roof and a light beige rendered facade with narrow rectangular openings give it a clean look, while a garage with dark doors on the ground floor adds practicality. The plot is enclosed by a wall of concrete blocks and a white metal gate, along an asphalt street. All the elements of the house are made in the factory under constant supervision and quality control, so the workmanship is uniform and on-site assembly is very fast. The full cross-section of the envelope is filled with insulation, and the building system is optimised for the local climate, so heating and cooling costs are low throughout the year. The two-storey layout makes good use of the plot and separates the day and night zones by floor.
