Prefabricated house with a pitched roof ⌂ Domžale/SLO

This prefabricated house with an attic was built in Domžale in neighbouring Slovenia, as one of Domprojekt's projects beyond Croatia. A steep gable roof and a white rendered facade give it a neat, classic look, while large sliding glass walls on the ground floor and windows in the attic fill it with natural light. An attic balcony with a dark glass balustrade opens the view onto the surroundings, and a separate, timber-clad carport stands beside the house. Built with dry prefabricated technology from ready-made elements, it allows fast and precise construction and moving into a healthy space almost immediately after the works are finished. Quality insulation across the whole envelope, good joinery and thoughtful ventilation make it low-energy, and it is well known that as little as ten percent more invested in energy efficiency can bring 50 to 80 percent savings on running costs. This project across the border shows that prefab houses from Croatia reach neighbouring markets just as reliably and with the same quality.
