What is proof of legal interest for the issuance of a building permit?

The following are considered proof of legal interest for the issuance of a building permit:

  • an extract from the land register showing that the investor is the owner or holder of the building right on the building plot or building on which construction is planned
  • a preliminary contract, contract or conditional contract on the basis of which the investor has acquired or will acquire ownership or the building right, or a use contract concluded in accordance with the law governing the management and disposal of real estate owned by the Republic of Croatia
  • a decision of the competent authority on the basis of which the investor has acquired ownership or the building right
  • a partnership agreement concluded with the owner of the property with the aim of joint construction
  • the consent of the co-owners of the land, or of the owner of the existing building in the case of reconstruction of that building, unless otherwise provided by a special law
  • the consent of the authority responsible for managing real estate owned by the Republic of Croatia
  • the consent of the fiduciary owner given to the previous owner of the property who is the investor.
