What is a geodetic survey of the actual state and who prepares it?

A geodetic survey of the actual state (GSSS) is a graphic representation of the actual situation on the ground, showing positional and elevation data for all visible natural and built features within the area covered by the development (e.g. buildings and other structures, utility lines and their associated facilities, transport infrastructure, vegetation, water bodies and related structures, terrain, etc.).

The geodetic survey of the actual state is prepared on the basis of a geodetic measurement carried out by an authorised geodetic engineer, and serves as a basis for design as well as for obtaining the location, building and use permits.
